Finding a story???

I was at lunch today in Darlington and walked past the old barber shop, sans camera.. went back and got camera out of my car. I stopped in to see what was up.
Mr. J.C. Washington has been a barber for over 65 years, Grover Collins has been having J.C. cut his hair for most of that time. Mr. Washington began shinnng Mr. Collins' shoes many many years ago.. "I started at the bottom and made it to the top." said Washinton with a laugh pointing to Mr. Collins' head.
I am going back with audio... and Tri-X..
this is a B&W conversion, those who know me understand I don't usually care for that.
I think, if you want it to look like film shoot it on film...

Feature Assignment

Portrait...

From Florence....

Internship number three begins... I started with a nurse portrait and then at the famous Darlington Raceway. The are doing major renovations to the track and I needed construction photos for the story running 1A on Sunday. No bad for my second assignment down here.. But I had to get a photo pf my self looking smashing in my hard hat and sweating to death in 100 degree heat...

It's Over...

Rowan lost today 19-1.. It's over this season for them and it's over for me with The Salisbury Post.. Florence Bound.

Game Two...

Rowan lost 8-7 in the bottom of the ninth, tough for these guys.. game three tomorrow at 12:30. I hate running out of light at these things, I really miss using my Canon.. I got a few good after the game shots that were at Nikon 1600 ISO and they were , well just bad...

Game One...

In 100 degree heat Rowan played their first state tournament game at 9:30 a.m. They won 9-2.
It was a good day for me too. I wanted two things this season, the first a play that I could stitch together in photoshop. The second a decent bunt shot with the ball in it. The bunt shot is not great, and not of the Rowan team but I got it and understand the timing of it a bit more. Next game 4:30 tomorrow afternoon.

Coming attractions..

I will spend this week, my final with The Salsibury Post in Garner, NC shooting the Legion Baseball state tournament.. After that I am moving to Florence SC to work for the Morning News as a Photo Intern...starting on the 22 of August.
