Today I spent the better half of a day on High Rock Lake with officers from the North Carolina Wildlife Resource Commision and the Rowan Counsty Sheriff's department. working the lake checking for safety and OWI. An awesome assignment for the woman who grew up near the ocean and misses it so much my bones hurt. Shooting at 45 mph is not easy, but really fun.
Tonight I shot a Legion Baseball game. I want to spend every day on a boat. I need to spent every minute I can shooting sports, currently baseball. I give even more credit to my friend Kasey Hine, an amazing sports shooter and all around great woman. Her work is here http://khphoto.blogspot.com/.
I love my job...

first ever track meet today. The biggest challenge was knowing who every one on my list of 15++ people were and when they would be doing what they do. Thankfully my sports writer Nick was there and he was a HUGE help even with his 101 fever. It was great too because it was a state final event there were several other photographers there and it was fun to have people to chat with in between events..

I shot my first political rally this evening.. Bill Graham, a Salisbury resident anounced that he is runny for governor of North Carolina. I am so excited about the upcoming political year. Some of my favorite photos have come from political rallies just like this. I didn't get a awesome shot but I am please with the ones I had.
